Ben Hansen
Editor's note: this particular story was written as experiment, wherein Ben knew the outcome of the case and I didn't. See comments.
It all began when Hugh, against all probability, suggested they go to
the park at 5:00 in the morning and Ben, against all probability,
agreed. They donned clothing of some description and ventured out into
the hazy twilight.
"Why are we doing this again?" Ben asked.
"Narrative license," Hugh replied. "Now stop breaking the fourth wall,
I just got it painted."
They ventured to the park, Ben enjoying the visions dancing in his
head of going up and down the slide in the most pointless but
enjoyable activity ever, and Hugh preparing to give the monkey bars a
run for their money.
There plans were cut short, however, when they saw, under a tree, a corpse.

And I was supposed to work out the mystery... It's about as compelling as an injury-only car crash. For more details, see Ben's insightful comments on below this one.
