And so they bought some tickets to Fresno (the bar) and wandered on
down. This took a while to achieve, for Hugh because he was following
Ben and for Ben because he was lost. But eventually, they stumbled
quite literally in through the door and ordered a drink and somebody
to get rid of the vultures.
"Have you seen this man?" Hugh asked the barman, holding up a photo.
"Yeah," the barman replied. "That's you."
"True. Now, have you seen this man?" Hugh described the man they were
searching for.
"Yeah, he was here a few days ago," the barman answered.
"Excellent! Where is he now?"
"Home, I guess, not many people stay here for more than an evening."
'Well what did you expect?" Ben asked Hugh as they stepped out. "It's
a bar, not a hotel."
"You could have said something," Hugh accused Ben.
"Yeah, but I wanted a drink."
