Murder At Marple Manor: Chapter IX

Hugh Hamilton

"You can not be serious!" screamed Hugh.
"Well I am," said Ben. "Look it says the price here."
"I'm not paying $25 for one game of tennis," said Hugh. "What a racquet!"
"Look we don't have to play tennis," began Ben.
"I thought this was a private course."
"Obviously voluntary crime solving doesn't pay too well."
"How did they afford this enormous mansion then?"
"Maybe it bankrupted them," said Ben, "and this is a cunning plan to regain their fortune."
"But $25? That's crazy!" said Hugh, still infuriated. "And I was positive it was a Marple case — I don't remember Poirot in it."
"Are going on about Hercules again?"
Hugh didn't dignify Ben with a response and began scowling at the tennis court tucked safely behind strong iron bars.
