Hugh Hamilton
Hugh watched Grace curiously as she held the harpoon aloft above the water.
"What's the attraction of Whaling?" he asked casually.
Grace paused for a moment and pondered the question.
"Is it the money?" he prodded.
"No," she said defiantly, "and it's not the taste either."
"Then what?"
"Moby Dick," she admitted.
"Really?"
"Yes," she replied.
"You're not looking for a White Whale are you?"
"No. I guess reading the book just started up a romantic notion of Whaling on the high seas."
"It didn't live up to your fantasy right?"
"Yeah, but it was all I had. I know I'll eventually have to get real job and start rotting like everyone else. I decided Whaling was cruel a long time ago."
"Caught one yet?"
"No."
"Damn. I'm hungry"
