But, thanks to the distraction executed with typical verve by Ben and
Hugh, the hostages had already taken it upon themselves to formulate
and realise an escape plan. And by the time our pair of shallow main
characters reached the park, they realised it too. So in a cowardly
way, they saved the hostages from a likely demise. Heroic, eh? Though
they neglected to put the cult out of business, so to speak, they were
very much satisfied with this achievement. Let's just assume the cult
bumped into a horde of policeman in an alleyway somewhere.
