Keeping An Eye Out: Chapter V

The body was that of a woman, just lying there. It could almost have
been asleep, part from the massive bloody wound with the dagger
sticking out in its chest. That and the fact that its arms and legs
had been staked to the ground, presumably while the woman was still
alive if the grazed wrists and ankles that showed it had been
struggling against the ropes were any sign. In fact, it didn't seem
very peaceful at all, and any comparisons are flawed.

As Hugh peered at all this, he noticed a crow land nearby and begin to
peck at something.
