Keeping An Eye Out: Chapter IX

It wasn't hers, that was for sure. Both the woman's eyes were still
happily decomposing inside their respective sockets.
As Hugh stood up from the corpse, Ben wandered a little closer and
inclined his head slightly in the direction of the crowd. Hugh looked,
and he saw a large, one-eyed man looming over the other people.
"A little bit too much of a coincidence, especially for a writer who
can't be stuffed writing more than a few token lines, don't you
think?" Ben muttered conspiratorially.
"Now who's screwing with the fourth wall?" Hugh accused.
