The Case Of The Cases: Chapter VIII

Hugh Hamilton

Hugh cleared a view through the leaves and was quite shocked to discover his mobile suddenly spring to life from his pocket and make his cunning hiding place redundant, while a man, who, in certain lights, looked vaguely like the husband who had hired them to spy on his wife, demanded to find out why Hugh was waiting for him in the bushes, to which Hugh replied with a strange and incomprehensible babble of song lyrics and, realising his mistake, quickly hit the footpath and answered his phone.
