One by one, the remaining thirteen were crossed of the list. They were down to the very last guest and still the clew of their twine had failed to tie in with anything.
"I don't know a thing," said Hurgent Rollworth and closed his eyes.
Hugh and Ben's remaining self-confidence quickly slid out their eyes and splashed onto the floor.
"Does that mean we are dealing with liars?" asked Hugh solemnly.
"Well you don't expect them to admit they were the murderer do you?"
"I guess not," said Hugh. "What other means do we have?"
