Hugh Hamilton
"Yes?" said the young and intentionally naïve brunette.
"Did you, by any chance, know Mr Summons?"
"I knew of him," she replied, carelessly looking out the window at an empty, angular birdbath.
"And what did you know of him?" pressed Hugh, getting suddenly annoyed.
"I knew he was one of those people who was always alone."
At this point, Ben decided to enter the conversation.
"How?" he said, after much thought.
"I would see him from time to time at the cinema, and he was never with anybody."
"And what films would he see?" Ben said without a great deal of thought.
Mrs Collarmellon scrunched up her face in confusion.
"He means generally," clarified Hugh.
"Usually kids films actually."
Hugh raised an eyebrow.
"My kids are always nagging me to go."
Hugh nodded.
"So you never met him?" asked Ben.
"No, I'm afraid not," she said. "Now if you'll excuse me, I must get back to sleep."
She wandered over to the far side of the room and crawled into bed.
With the exception of Hugh and Ben, everyone in the house was now asleep.
Hugh looked suspiciously at his watch.
"It's a bit early isn't it?" he said.
"Yes, and the dinner party has only gone for a total of 35 minutes. No one's even eaten yet."
"Where's Mrs Marple?" asked Hugh.
"She went back to her bedroom."
"So what do we do now?"
