Murder At Marple Manor: Chapter XX

Ben Hansen

Fortunately, Ben carried a thermos full of hot chocolate with him at all times. He ended up with an impressive skin which took almost the full length of the thermos, but it was worth it for the few drops he could get out at a time like this.
"So, who did it?" He asked Hugh.
"I'm guessing Mrs Marple," Hugh replied.
"But... why?"
"Why not? It's her party, she can kill if she wants to."
"That's cry, and that's a crap song."
"Well who do YOU think did it, Mr. Smarty-Pants?" asked Hugh.
"Since when do you call people Mr. Smarty-Pants?"
"Since you started putting words in my mouth."
"What?"
"Oh... nothing. Anyway, who do you think did it?"
"He was stabbed, right?"
"Yep."
"And nobody was near him at the time?"
"Yep."
"And the only person who got to the corpse before us was Poirot?"
"Yep."
"It was Poirot. He was the only person who could possibly have stabbed him."
"Nah, too obvious."
"What? It's true!"
"Prove it."
"Okay, let's go. Hang on though, this conversation's gone on too long. Let's switch narrators."
