Ben Hansen
"It all started thirty years ago, in 'Nam," Tom began.
Ben nodded, and took notes in his handy dandy notebook that he got from Blues Clues merchandisers.
"I was in Saigon, waiting for a new assignment," Tom continued, "When these two guys came in. They told me they knew about certain assassinations I'd commited in the past, and wanted me to do one more: Colonel Nelson Craper, who'd rebelled against the American army and was hiding out in some temple. They thought he was dead until he sent some letters to his son. Then they realised he was just insane."
Ben nodded again, glanced at his notes, and added a few. Then he realised something odd about his notes, and read them, eyebrow raised. He looked at Tom.
"You're just telling me the story to Apocalypse Now, aren't you?" He asked.
"No! Of course not! I really had to go kill him! I took this little plastic boat along a river with a few other soldiers, no more than kids!"
"You're not even retelling it well!"
"Well it's been a long time! thirty years or so! there was this helicopter pilot who liked surfing, and..."
Ben just stared at Tom until he shut up. "Okay," he said. "Now how do you REALLY know him?"
