The Bermuda Whalers: Chapter V

Hugh Hamilton

"I have an idea," said Ben gleefully.
"Yes?"
"Okay, you know how at the airport they hold up those signs with people's names on it so the person they're meeting can find them?"
Hugh furrowed his brow condescendingly.
"What's wrong with that?"
"Well it hardly works on a boat does it?"
"It could. At the very least it would attract him. He would most definitely want to find out why we want him."
"What, and we say 'Hey, you wanna play poker? Drinks are on me'?"
"Perhaps."
"Don't you think he would be a tad suspicious?"
"Yeah well, what do you suggest we do then?"
"I suggest we ask the crew if they know anything of him," said Hugh. "We could pretend to be concerned relatives or policeman."
Ben shrugged carelessly.
